The advisory urges individuals arriving from other states or countries to self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival, and encourages Washingtonians to stay home or in their region and avoid non-essential travel to other states or countries to help slow the spread of the virus. November 16 Governor Inslee issued a travel advisory for Washington (in coordination with California and Oregon) following the recent spike in COVID-19 cases. Details about this grant opportunity, including how to apply for funding, are now posted here on the Department of Commerce’s website. Governor Inslee recently announced additional COVID-19 financial support, which includes $50 million for Round 3 of the Working Washington Small Business grants. You can choose to activate it, or if needed, download the app from the Google Play Store. Users who test positive for COVID-19 can enter a verification code provided by public health into WA Notify, so that other users who have been near them within the last 14 days can be anonymously alerted and take appropriate action.Ĭheck the google settings on your phone to see if the app has been added. It does this without revealing a user’s identity or location. WA Notify is free, completely voluntary, and uses Bluetooth technology to exchange random codes with the phones of other users nearby. The tool, called WA Notify, can be added to smartphones, and will then alert Washington residents if they have spent time near another WA Notify user who later tests positive for COVID-19.ĭeveloped jointly by Google and Apple, WA Notify has been deployed in 29 languages and uses privacy-preserving technology without collecting or revealing any location or personal data.
